52 area students’ work in Tyler Museum of Art exhibition

Tyler Museum of Art’s 11th Annual High School Art Exhibition opens Sunday and continues through March 15. Fifty-two students have art in the show, said a news release from the museum.
Five students will receive “Merit of Honor” awards for outstanding work during the Opening Reception and Awards Ceremony from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the museum, 1300 S. Mahon Ave. at Tyler Junior College. The public can meet the artists, enjoy refreshments and vote for the Viewers’ Choice Award that will presented at the exhibition’s conclusion, the museum said.
