Edom Festival of the Arts event this weekend

Thousands are expected to converge on Edom this weekend for the annual Edom Festival of the Arts.

The event will take place in a large field behind the resident artists’ studios on FM 279 and will include art, live music and food, organizers said. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, organizers announced.

Visitors will find jewelry, pottery, paintings, photography, sculpture, baskets, woodworking, glasswork, and copper garden art. Among the artists schedule to show their works are Arthur Sekula, C.J. Bradford, Deanna Hinchcliff, Lezlee Liljenberg and Fred Gardner.

On Saturday, musicians set to perform include Steve Fuqua, Eric Moseley and Tami Hix. Set to perform on Sunday are Withrow Cooley, Stephen Giles and Dennis and Leslie Redman.

Admission to the festival is free.
