Spigner sparks Rains past Mount Vernon, 30-14

MOUNT VERNON — Markell Spigner rushed for 189 yards and three touchdowns to lead Rains to a 30-14 victory over Mount Vernon on Friday.

The Wildcats (1-0) racked up 339 yards on 48 carries.

Spigner did his damage on 19 carries.

Dakota Miller added a 98-yard interception return for Rains while McKenna Melton rushed 14 times for 121 yards and a score.
