(AP) — Mount Pleasant right-handed pitcher Michael Kopech is Player of the Year on the Texas Sports Writers Association’s Class 4A All-State Baseball Team.
The first-round pick of the Boston Red Sox, who signed with the club, had a 0.47 earned-run average with 143 strikeouts and 18 walks in 74.2 innings.
