Van Zandt County Balloon Fest will take place Saturday at Tailwind Airpark/Thompson Airport and will feature about 20 balloons, said a news release from organizers.

The action will begin at 10 a.m. and continue until dark. Activities will include plane rides, radio controlled aircraft, aircraft static display, Trinity Mother Frances helicopter, tethered balloon rides, a car show from 5 to 8:30 p.m. and the balloon glow at dusk, the information said.

Events for children will include a bounce house, pony rides, petting zoo, face painting and more. Food and merchandise vendors will be on site throughout the day.

Tailwind Airpark is located between Canton and Edgewood two miles north of Interstate 20, just off Farm to Market Road 859 on Van Zandt County Road 3119. Admission is free. Parking is $10.
