High pressure that brought the cold temperatures to the area is over Mississippi this morning and will continue its eastward track. That means light southeast winds will develop across the area today. Dry air is still in place and with lots of sunshine will allow temperatures to warm to near 60 degrees this afternoon. This warming trend will continue into next week. Our next chance of rain does not come until Sunday and Sunday night with a disturbance moving across the region.
