Stephen F. Austin State University will honor outstanding donors and faculty members during the 25th annual SFA Gala on Dec. 14.
The gala will begin with a cocktail reception at 6 p.m. followed by a candlelight dinner at 7 p.m. in the Baker Pattillo Student Center’s Grand Ballroom in Nacogdoches.
“We are very excited about plans for the gala, which promises to be especially memorable this year as we continue to celebrate SFA’s 90th anniversary,” Jill Still, vice president for university advancement, said, according to a news release. “We look forward to paying special tribute to some of the university’s most generous donors and recognizing the accomplishments of two outstanding SFA faculty members.”
The Austin-based band Blind Date will provide the entertainment. Featuring seven musicians, the band is known for its versatile repertoire performing everything from dance music to rock, jazz, country and hip-hop.
Tickets cost $175 for orchestra seating and $125 for ballroom seating. Gala proceeds will help build a permanent endowment created by the SFASU Foundation to honor faculty achievement, according to the news release.
