Apaches cruise past Cedar Valley, 93-80

KILGORE —Dominique Shaw, a freshman from Lufkin, hit for game-high 33 points as the Tyler Junior College Apaches scored a 93-80 win over Cedar Valley College on Saturday during the final day of the Kilgore Basketball Classic at Masters Gymnasium.

Along with Shaw, Todd Eaglin and Jon Alexander were in double figures for TJC (3-1) with 13 points each.



Devonse Reed led the Suns with 25 points.

The Apaches return to play next weekend in the Sleep Inn & Suites Classic at Wagstaff Gymnasium. On Friday, TJC will play Northwestern State JV at 8 p.m. On Saturday, the Apaches will play Weatherford at 5 p.m.
