AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — British Airways will offer nonstop flights between Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and London starting next year.

The carrier on Tuesday announced plans for five direct flights per week beginning in March. Daily flights between London Heathrow Airport and the capital city of Texas begin May 5.

British Airways, which cites Austin’s high-tech business reputation, plans to offer the service using the Boeing 787 model also known as the Dreamliner. The carrier’s air-fare sale featuring Austin routes runs until Sept. 24.

British Airways also serves Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport and George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston.
