PINEVILLE, La. — The No. 4-ranked UT Tyler Patriots swept an American Southwest Conference softball doubleheader with Louisiana College on Tuesday at Coca-Cola Field.

The Patriots (30-2, 15-1) won 7-1 and 5-3. UT Tyler also swept LC (18-11, 9-9) on Sunday in Tyler.

It was the 10th straight win for the Patriots.

In the first game, Joey Cronin broke open a 1-1 game with a three-RBI triple. She also had an RBI single to give the Patriots a 1-0 lead in the third inning.

The Patriots return home on Saturday for a key doubleheader with No. 13 East Texas Baptist at UT Tyler Ballpark.
