Lee’s Coleman, Tankersley earn first team All-District 11-5A

Robert E. Lee senior Jarrod Coleman and junior Taylor Tankersley earned first team honors with senior Evan Tomlinson receiving second-team consideration on the recently announced All-District 11-5A boys basketball team.

Tankersley led the Red Raiders in scoring (15 points per game) and rebounding (6.8) while Coleman is averaged 11 points, four assists and 2.4 steals per game. Tomlinson hit a team-high 34 three-pointers.



District champion DeSoto led the way with three superlatives, but not MVP, which went to Mesquite’s Eric Reed. DeSoto’s Matthew Jones was Offensive Player of the Year, with teammate Jabril Durham and Mesquite’s Vincent Hobbs shared Defensive Player of the Year honors. DeSoto’s Terry Maston was Newcomer of the Year.
