Johnson, Gorman rout Union Hill

T.K. Gorman quarterback Kevin Johnson rushed for three touchdowns and passed for another in the first half as the Crusaders defeated Union Hill, 46-22, at McCallum Stadium on Friday.
Johnson got the Crusaders on the scoreboard two plays into the game by going 70 yards down the home sideline for 6-0 lead with 11:11 left in the first period.
After a Brandon Lackner fumble recovery set the Crusaders up at the Bulldog 13-yard line, Johnson threw 10 yards on fourth-and-10 to Cale Tucker for a 14-0 lead with 11:55 before halftime.
The Crusaders put the game out of reach in the last two minutes of the half, when Johnson scored the first of his two 2-yard scoring runs in the last 2:35 of the first half.
On the ensuing kickoff Drew Dunklin recovered the ball at the Bulldog 37-yard line and the Crusaders went back to work driving the ball down to the two-yard line on four Tucker runs. Johnson then followed his line to paydirt with 40 seconds left before halftime to give TKG a 26-0 advantage.
The second half proved to be the Tucker half, as he scored on a 21-yard run, a 90-yard kickoff return and a one-handed catch on a 43-yard pass from Johnson.
Union Hill got a little life in the second half from Javarious Dixon’s two touchdown runs and 64 yards on the ground.
Gage Stokes’ got Union Hill on the scoreboard with a 28-yard scoring run with 2:19 left in third period.
The Bulldogs recovered two fumbles on the evening with Harry Allen and Xavier Johnson pouncing on the ball.
Ryan Ruiz intercepted a pass for the Crusaders.
