High pressure will expand over the upcoming week and again shut off rain chances and turn the heat up. Very dry conditions will continue with dangerous outdoor burning conditions expected, especially in areas that have not received decent rainfall. A weak trough may continue to provide a few more widely scattered showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. Monday isolated showers and thunderstorms can be expected during the afternoon hours, but rain chances will diminish after Monday afternoon.
Temperatures will continue in the upper 90's and rising into the low 100's by the end of the week.
