The high pressure ridge aloft is expected to be a little weaker today and Saturday, which will allow a cold front to ease into East Texas from the northeast. That boundary will trigger some shower and thunderstorm activity by late afternoon today and tomorrow. Otherwise, it's going to be mostly sunny with high temperatures in the mid 90s into next week. Winds will be light easterly through Saturday before returning from the south 5 to 10 mph Sunday. There will be another slight chance of showers and thunderstorms Tuesday.
