SHREVEPORT, La. - UT Tyler saw its five-game winning streak snapped with an 8-0 loss to Centenary on Wednesday.
The Patriots (9-4) lost their first road game of the season after opening the year with 13 straight at Irwin Field.
The Gents (11-3) pounded out 10 hits while Kaleb Kirk (3-2) and Matthew Devillier (4) combined to hold UT Tyler to four hits.
Sam Lane had two of the Patriots’ four hits, including a double for the team’s lone extra-base hit.
Chris Zapata went 2 for 4 with three RBIs while Ian Graham had two hits and two RBIs for Centenary.
UT Tyler stays in Louisiana this weekend for a two-game series with Louisiana College in Pineville.
