The Tyler-Smith County Texas Exes Chapter will be hosting its annual 2016 Send Off Party and Scholarship Dinner on Tuesday, June 21 at 6 pm Hollytree Country Club.

This event supports students attending The University of Texas at Austin and also benefits the local Texas Exes scholarship fund.

The Texas Exes has a “mystery guest” speaker at the event who is known to have “Deep East Texas Roots” from The University of Texas Athletic Department and is also a very successful former East Texas coach.

As this dinner is the chapter’s annual effort to raise scholarship monies, the NCAA regulations prohibit usage of the speaker’s name for publicity purposes.

Dine and support Future Horns. Cocktails and Silent Auction begin at 6 pm. The Dinner and Presentation begin at 7 pm.

Due to past generous donations, the Tyler-Smith County Texas Exes Chapter will be awarding $10,000 in scholarships from our endowed scholarship fund to students from Smith County who are attending The University of Texas at Austin. We strive to reward students of exceptional character and quality, as well as provide financial support to assist our local students to attend The University of Texas at Austin.

The event will honor the following 2016 Tyler-Smith County Texas Exes scholarship recipients:

Shelby Kohler, Chapter Hill High School (Mary John Spence Scholarship Fund); Samantha Pan, Whitehouse High School (General Scholarship Fund); Emily Shackelford, Robert E. Lee High School (Ralph Spence Scholarship Fund); and Allyn Wheeler, current UT student (continuing scholarship).

Tickets to the event are $75 for Texas Exes and Foundation members, $85 for non-members, and $30 for current UT Austin students. Limited seating is available. Additional sponsorship opportunities and contributions benefit our local scholarship fund.

Please register by Friday, June 17 by mailing payment to Tyler-Smith County Texas Exes, PO Box 7164, Tyler, Texas 75711 or registering online at www.texasexes.org/event/tyler-smith- county.

Please call 903-707-1119 for reservations or questions.
