LINDALE — The Spring Hill Lady Panthers sunk nine 3-pointers to take a 63-42 win over Rains on Thursday night at Eagle Gymnasium in Class 3A area playoff action.

Audrey Popelar came out smoking, with three treys and nine first-half points leading to a 34-20 halftime lead. Popelar continued her assault with three more 3-pointers in the second half and finished with a team-high 18 points.

Jacey Fleet busted two treys and totaled eight points in the win. Mikai Brown added another bomb and eight points while teammate Leslie Blevins made a living inside with 10 points. Ashlyn White was instrumental in the first half for Spring Hill with nine points.

Hannah Dickens made a trio of treys in the first half but was held scoreless in the second half. However Klara Bradshaw, who stands 6-7, scored 16 of her game-high 19 points in the final quarter in the setback.

Rains ends the season with a District 14-3A championship and a 20-13 record overall.

Spring Hill (18-17) advances to play the winner of the Pittsburg-Bullard game.
