PLANO — The East Texas Pump Jacks opened their season with a 3-1 win over the Texas Marshals on Thursday at Graham Field.

The game was shortened due to rain at the Plano Prestonwood school.

Alex Bell, a catcher from Slippery Rock University, had two RBIs to pace the Pump Jacks.

Also, pitcher Eddie Dionne, from Keene State University, was strong on the mound.

The teams will play again Friday, beginning at 8:05 p.m. After Friday's game, the Pump Jacks travel to Spring to meet the Woodlands Strykers for two games on Saturday and Sunday.

Then they will have two games in Bryan against the Brazos Valley Bombers.

The Pump Jacks' home opener is June 4 against the Acadiana Cane Cutters at UT Tyler's Irwin Field.
