KILGORE — The East Texas Pump Jacks carried over momentum from the day before to score three early runs and never trail in a 7-5 win to sweep Acadiana on Wednesday at Driller Park.
The defending Texas Collegiate League champion Pump Jacks, who rallied from three runs down to beat Acadiana 5-4 on Tuesday, improved to 2-0 at home on the young season.
Brooks Marlow (3 for 4, 2 RBIs) and Joey Armstrong (3 for 5, 2 RBIs) combined for half of the Pump Jacks’ dozen hits and Ty Marlow (2 for 4, RBI, two runs) aided the Pump Jacks at the plate.
Brooks Marlow hit a two-run homer in the sixth, and Armstrong added RBI singles in the first and eighth for the Pump Jacks, who moved to 3-2 on the season.
Austin Watson pitched six innings, allowing two hits and two runs while striking out six to get the win.
