PARIS — The UT Tyler women’s golf team had a strong showing at the first tournament of the 2013 Fall season, winning the Paris Junior College Fall Invitational on Monday.

Sophomore Laura Lindsey, last year’s individual national champion won medalist honors.

Lindsey finished with a combined 146 (74-72), one stroke ahead of teammate Morgan Loth who had a 147.

Loth shot the low-roud of the tournament for the Patriots, scorching the course for a 70 in round one.

Taylor Sloane had a 148 (73-75), while sister Jordan Sloane carded a 152.

Marina Rhodes shot 79 on both days, finishing with a combined 158 for the Patriots.

Loth and both Sloane sisters joined Lindsey on the All-Tournament Team.

The ladies will have a couple of weeks to prepare for the Al Jones Jr. Memorial Tournament, hosted by The Cascades Sept. 30 to Oct 1.
