The 11th Annual Breast Cancer and Blind Awareness Event is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Moore Middle School (corner of 1200 S. Tipton Ave. and 2101 E. Devine St., Tyler, 75701).
Larry Reed, event organizator, said it is free to the public and to “come enjoy a day of fun, food and good healthy competition.”
Five Texas teams in the National Beep Baseball Association will be on hand for games — host Tyler Tigers, Austin Blackhawks, Bayou City Heat of Houston, Bryan-College Station Outlaws and Lone Star Roadrunners of Dalals.
Reed added the NBBA president will be on hand and a ceremony will take place “to remember those who have fought the battle of breast cancer.”
“The (Tyler Tigers) will accept any donations as we prepare for the 2020 World Series,” Reed said.
The World Series is scheduled for July 26-Aug. 2 in Ames, Iowa.
