FORNEY — The Lindale Eagles' rally came up just short as the squad fell to the Forney Jackrabbits 28-21 Friday night at City Bank Stadium.

Forney jumped out to a 28-0 lead before the Eagles got in gear.

Lindale quarterback Montana Meador hit on 18 of 36 pass attempts for 180 yards and three touchdowns.

Meador tossed TD passes to Colton Brown (14 yards), Brandon Price (5-yards) and Kale Ridge (4-yards). Cameron Sir Louis hauled in 10 catches for 108 yards for the Eagles, while Joe Noble had four catches for 37 yards.

David Franke booted all three PATs for Lindale.

Lindale was hurt by two lost fumbles and two interceptions.

Forney quarterback Devon Rideaux hit on 19 of 31 passing attempts for 178 yards and two touchdowns.

The Eagles (1-1) stay on the road, traveling to Van to meet the 2-0 Vandals on Sept. 9.

Forney (2-0) takes on Terrell on Sept. 9. The contest is set for Terrell Memorial Staidum.
