In first game without injured quarterback Hood Taylor, Brook Hill cruises to win over Katy St. Johns

 

KATY - The Brook Hill Guard honored their injured quarterback by rolling to a 42-0 win over Katy St. John on Friday in their first game without Hood Taylor.

Grayson Priestner, who was a receiver and now thrust into the quarterback role, completed 10 of 15 passes for 108 yards and Jermiah McGowen rushed for 154 yards and four touchdowns. Garrett Davis led Brook Hill receiving with five catches for 85 yards.

The Guard (2-2) did not get going offensively until the second quarter and took control from there. Brook Hill led 14-0 at halftime and piled on 28 more unanswered points in the second half.
