WHITEHOUSE — Ryan Cheatham, Patrick Mahomes and Peyton Conser combined for a one-hitter as Whitehouse downed John Tyler, 15-0, in a District 16-4A baseball finale Friday night.

The Wildcats (20-7, 9-1) claimed the co-district title with Corsicana and will face the Tigers this afternoon for playoff seeding purposes. The game is set for 1 p.m. at Rockwall-Heath High School.

JT completed the season 0-22 and 0-10 in district.

Mahomes finished 3 for 3 with two RBIs at the plate, plus scored a run. The Wildcats were also led by Michael Nuon (2-for-2, RBI, two runs) and Jake Parker (2-for-2, three RBIs, run).

Dustin Smith had JT's lone hit.

Lindale tops Nac, 4-2

NACOGDOCHES — Chris Bond went 2 for 3 with a double as Lindale beat Nacogdoches 4-2 on Friday in the District 16-4A finale.

The Eagles (16-9, 6-4), who ended the game on a double play on a line drive back to the pitcher, will play either Mansfield Summit or Waxahachie in the playoffs.
