Honor Roll: Lions headline top performers

Pierre Leonard, John Tyler: The senior lineman made an impact in all three phases. Leonard blocked two punts, had eight tackles (two for loss), four QB hurries and two sacks and caught a pass for 15 yards.

Luke Lee, All Saints: The Trojans standout had seven tackles on defense and caught the game-winning 54-yard touchdown in win over Frisco Legacy Christian.



Jackson Allen, QB, Whitehouse: The Wildcats quarterback completed an eye-popping 45 of 66 passes for 413 yards in Wildcats' loss to Lufkin. He connected with 10 different receivers, led by Eric Munoz (12-80), Trent Williams (11-143) and Shemar Smith (10-110).

Justice Bean, WR, Frankston: The Indians receiver finished with eight catches for 165 yards and a touchdown in a loss to Waskom.

Ozzie Buckner, QB, Frankston: The Indians quarterback completed 20 of 33 passes for 323 yards and four touchdowns.

Bishop Gorman: The Crusaders amassed 262 yards rushing and six touchdowns with 12 ball carriers doing the work.

Trey Cumbie, Sr., QB, Lufkin: The Panthers quarterback passed for 212 yards and four touchdowns and also rushed for 35 yards and a touchdown.

Ke Ke Coutee, Sr., WR, Lufkin: The Panthers receiver finished with eight catches for 131 yards and a touchdown in Lufkin's win over Whitehouse.

Cameron Haller, RB, Marshall: The Mavericks back scored two touchdowns and finished with 84 yards on 11 carries in a win over Pine Tree.

Justin Hart, QB, Marshall: The Mavericks quarterback completed 17 of 22 passes for 337 yards and five touchdowns in a win over Pine Tree.

Jaylon Hawkins, RB, Sulphur Springs: The Wildcats back rushed 17 times for 201 yards in a win over Mount Pleasant.

Mason Hays, WR, Pine Tree: The Pirates receiver caught seven passes for 151 yards and a touchdown in a loss to Marshall.

Dominique Hollie, RB, Whitehouse: The Wildcats back finished with 16 carries for 120 yards and five touchdowns (6, 13, 13, 6, 6) in a loss at Lufkin.

Oran Jenkins, Frankston: Jenkins finished with 123 total yards (56 receiving, 67 rushing) and two touchdowns. Jenkins also had an interception on defense.

Josh Johnson, Jr., Bishop Gorman: Johnson accounted for three touchdowns (two rush, one pass) and nearly 100 yards of total offense in the second half of Gorman's win over Carrollton Prince of Peace.

Marcalas Johnson, Arp: The Tigers back rushed for 109 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries in a win over Winona.

Gabe Lucio, RB, Brook Hill: The Guard running back rushed 20 times for 134 yards and three touchdowns in a win over Dallas Shelton. He also had a 9-yard TD catch.

Kayce Medlock, Arp: The Tigers quarterback rushed for a touchdown and passed for a touchdown to finish with 192 total yards in a win over Winona.

Chandler Nutt, Grace Community: The Grace quarterback passed for 212 yards and rushed for 53, accounting for two TDs.

Larry Pryor, QB, Sulphur Springs: The Wildcats quarterback rushed for 145 yards two touchdowns and also passed for 198 yards and two touchdowns in win over Mount Pleasant.

Kendrick Rogers, WR, Frankston: The Indians receiver totaled eight catches for 96 yards and two touchdowns in a loss to Waskom. Rogers also had nine tackles on defense.

Steven Sowell, RB, Lufkin: The Panthers tailback rushed 30 times for 178 yards and a touchdown in a win over Whitehouse.

Zach Tatman, Grace Community: The Cougars running back carried 20 times for 118 yards and two touchdowns in a loss.

Jeremy Wilson, John Tyler: The senior running back ran for 163 yards on 10 carries, including a 61-yard burst up the middle for one of his four touchdowns on the game's first play.



All Saints: The Trojans continue to stymie opponents. Already with the best stop unit in the area, All Saints limited Frisco Legacy Christian to 214 total yards and forced four turnovers, three coming on interceptions by Nathan Jasper, Trevor Evans and Jack Hamm in a 9-7 victory.

Arp: The Tigers had two interception returns for touchdowns with Isaiah Barker taking the first one back for a 12-yard score and Tyler Stewart returning his pick 25 yards to the house in a win over Winona.

KJ Bickham, All Saints: The Trojans standout finished with 13 tackles, four of them solo in a win over Frisco Legacy Christian.

Bishop Gorman: The Crusaders defense allowed a single touchdown and recovered three fumbles in their 58-7 win over Carrollton Prince of Peace. Leading the way for Gorman were Cantrell Freeman (six tackles), Daniel McKnight (fumble recovery), Tyler Bate (seven tackles, sack, forced fumble) and Ethan Milton (seven tackles).

Bullard Brook Hill: The Guard pitched a shutout, holding Dallas Shelton to minus-34 yards of total offense in their win. Leading the way for was Bryant Robinson (seven tackles, for four loss) and Jordan McGowan (eight tackles, five for loss).

Cole Cooper, Sulphur Springs: Cooper led the Wildcats with nine tackles and had a sack in win over Mt. Pleasant.

Jaylon Reese, John Tyler: The Lions linebacker returned an interception 18 yards for a touchdown. He also had eight tackles, one behind the team lead of nine by Jassavia Reese, who also had a sack.

Shaundrick Williams, John Tyler: The sophomore linebacker had two interceptions, the second of which he took 20 yards for a score. He returned his first interception 60 yards but the return was called back for a penalty.


Special Teams

Luis Duran, John Tyler: The senior kicker booted 10 of 11 PATs and boomed six touchbacks.

Duntayviun Gross, John Tyler: The junior returned a punt 50 yards for a touchdown, taking it right then reversing field to score on the left-hand sideline. Gross also caught two passes for 17 yards.
