QUEEN CITY — Winona Wildcats finally found their way into the win column with a 33-22 non-district win over the Queen City Bulldogs on Friday.
Winona (1-4) jumped out to a 7-0 lead early in the first quarter on a 4-yard touchdown carry by Ke’Aaron Cobb. Cobb would finish the game with 274 yards on 38 carries.
The Wildcats took a 20-13 lead into halftime on a 1-yard scoring run by Joey Dykes and an 81-yard touchdown run by Cobb.
Winona opened up its lead in to 27-13 in the third on Dykes second touchdown, an 11-yard carry.
Dykes, who finished the game with 66 yards on five carries, scored again late in the fourth on a 14-yard run.
