WHITEHOUSE — Whitehouse High School senior Spencer Shaw’s hard work and dedication is paying off, his Wildcat basketball coach Brent Kelley said.

Shaw signed a letter of intent Friday to play basketball at Oklahoma Christian University located in Edmond, Okla. The signing ceremony was held at Wildcat Arena on the WHS campus.

Shaw was the second leading scorer during his senior year on the Wildcats and helped lead the Whitehouse to a 27-6 season. In the 2013-14 season, the team won the district championship and advanced to the region quarterfinalers.

Shaw was a member of the Tyler Morning Telegraph’s All-East Texas team.

“Spencer has been a rock in our program the last four years and had his best season this year. I’m proud of him and excited that his hard work has paid off,” Kelley said.
