Midway through the third quarter, half of the stadium lights went out in Frankston. Midway through the fourth quarter, the lights went out on on the Frankston Indians football team as the White Oak Roughnecks sealed the game with a touchdown, capping a 49-40 win.

The offensive fireworks did their part to help light up the sky for most of the game, starting with very first play from scrimmage as Treston Coleman scampered for 33 yards. Caleb Williams would later cap off the drive with a 16-yard rushing touchdown, to give the Indians an early lead.

Unfortunately Frankston struggled in the kicking game as Victor Pizano missed the extra point.

White Oak would answer later first with a seven yard touchdown pass from Caleb Carr — who had a fine night rushing and passing — to Dylan Gale. Ethan Land added the extra point to take a 7-6 lead.

Treston Coleman scored his second touchdown for Frankston but another missed extra point made the score 12-7 to end the first quarter.

In the second quarter scoring exploded with Cory Winks scoring from 24 yards out for the Roughnecks to take the lead 15-12.

Treston Coleman answered with another rushing touchdown, and with Josh Preston's two-point conversion Frankston regained the lead 20-15, continuing the see-saw battle that saw the first half end with White Oak leading 29-26

The Roughnecks would never trail again in the game, as they ended the third quarter on top 42-34.

In the fourth quarter, Hunter Owens who had an impressive night running the ball finished off with the eventual game winner making the score 49-34.

Michael Warren rallied the Indians connecting with Treston Coleman for a 50 yard touchdown pass, pulling the Indians with two scores 49-40.

Forcing an interception, Frankston was in position to make a comeback but the White Oak defense held fast, stopping the Indians on fourth down, and ending the hard fought game in the victory formation.

Indians quarterback Michael Warren rushed for 230 yards and a touchdown, while also passing for 76 yards and a TD. He was 5 of 15.

Also, Treston Coleman added 189 yards and two TDs on 20 attempts for Frankston and teammate Caleb Williams added 110 yards and two touchdowns on just five carries.

Carr completed 10 of 17 pass attempts for 185 yards and a TD for the Roughnecks., Darion Barr (9-119) and Hunter Owens (20-127) paced the White Oak ground game.

White Oak returns to play on Friday as the Roughnecks play West Rusk in New London. Frankston plays host to Palestine Westwood on Friday.
