John Tyler goes 3-0 in Longview Tournament
LONGVIEW — The John Tyler Lady Lions were 3-0 on Saturday to capture the Silver Bracket of the Longview Volleyball Tournament.
JT won over Lindale JV 2-0 (25-18, 25-10), Van JV 2-0 (25-13, 25-8) and Big Sandy 2-1.
Standouts for JT were Symone Morris (30 kills, 30 serves, 5 aces, 14 digs), Makia Moon (20 kills, 31 serves, 5 digs) and Michiah McFarland (14 serves, 63 assists, 6 digs).
JT (5-2) is scheduled to play at Kilgore on Tuesday. The match has a 7 p.m. scheduled start.
Lee goes 1-1 in Mansfield
MANSFIELD — The Tyler Lee Lady Raiders went 1-1 on Saturday in the Mansfield Volleyball Tournament.
The Lady Raiders defeated Mansfield JV (25-13, 27-25).
Hope Casel had seven kills, five digs and four aces. Anasha Martin had 12 digs. Claire Trosclair had four kills, and Jemyiaa Johnson and Ionna Jones added three kills each.
Lee then fell to Euless Trinity (25-23, 19-25, 21-25).
Casel had 18 digs, three blocks and five kills. Martin had 16 digs. Jones and Johnson had four blocks each. Trosclair had six kills and 16 digs, and Johnson added five kills.
Lee (3-6) will face Pine Tree Tuesday in Longview.
Bishop Gorman 3, Longview St. Mary’s 2
The Bishop Gorman Lady Crusaders rallied for a 3-2 win over Longview St. Mary’s on Friday.
The Lady Crusaders won 25-23, 17-25, 17-25, 25-10 and 15-6.
Standouts for Gorman were Elizabeth Mahfood (13 kills, 6 aces), Olivia Roberts (16 digs, 9 aces) and Eva Vega (25 assists, 4 aces).
JT, Sabine go 1-2
VAN —Sabine Lady Cardinals were 2-1 and John Tyler was 1-2 in the Van Tournament on Friday.
JT defeated Quinlan Ford 2-0 (25-19, 26-24) with Eriana Valle (7 serves, 11 receptions, 3 digs) and Michiah McFarland (6 serves, 2 kills, 7 assists , 3 digs) leading the way.
The Lady Lions fell to North Lamar 2-1 (25-21, 22-25, 25-14). Standouts for JT were Symone Morris (8 serves, 6 kills, 9 receptions, 1 block, 8 digs), Makia Moon (12 serves, 8 kills, 2 receptions, 6 digs), McFarland (8 serves, 1 kill, 16 assists, 7 digs) and Valle (14 serves, 15 receptions, 18 digs).
Sabine defeated JT 2-1 (28-26, 22-25, 25-20). Standouts for the Lady Cards were Mikinzi Cantrell (8 kills, 8 digs), Sierrah Richter (4 aces, 4 kills, 4 assists, 35 assists, 16 digs), Sam Bell (14 kills, 14 digs), Aubree McCann (6 kills, 7 digs), Caitlin Bates (11 digs) and Ally Gresham (13 digs). Leading JT were Mooris (8 serves, 7 kills, 16 receptions, 2 blocks, 6 digs), Moon (10 serves, 12 kills, 7 receptions, 1 block, 8 digs), Erianna Valle (13 serves, 27 receptions, 8 digs) and Alexy Valle (12 serves, 8 receptions, 1 assist, 7 digs).

North Lamar defeated Sabine 2-1 (16-25, 26-24, 26-24). Cantrell (11 kills, 6 digs), Richter (4 aces, 6 digs, 29 assists), Bell (9 kills, 13 digs), McCann (10 kills, 6 digs) and Bates (7 digs).
Henderson 3, Marshall 0
HENDERSON — The Henderson Lady Lions scored a 3-0 win over the Marshall Lady Mavericks on Friday in a non-conference game.
Henderson won 25-22, 25-10, 25-13.
Leaders for the 2-2 Lady Lions were Cora Jimerson (19 assists, 4 digs), Heather Craig (7 kills, 8 digs, 2 aces), Analena Tavo (6 kills, 7 digs) and Ann Mills (5 kills, 6 digs, 3 aces).
Hallsville goes 2-1
GARLAND — The Hallsville Ladycats went 2-1 in pool play action to advance to the championship bracket of the Garland Tournament, knocking off Denton Braswell (25-17, 25-22) and South Garland (25-19, 25-8) and falling to Frisco Heritage (25-23, 25-19).
Ayden McDermott had 16 kills, five digs and an ace in three games for the Ladycats. Cassidy Cole added 11 kills, 11 aces, 12 digs and four blocks, Riley Rodriguez eight kills and Ashley Jones 44 assists, 11 digs, three blocks and seven kills.
Kilgore drops two
GARLAND — The Kilgore Lady Bulldogs fell to Rowlett (25-23, 25-8, Wylie East (25-5, 25-13) and Sulphur Springs (25-23, 25-16) in pool play action.
Against Rowlett, Jada Abercrombie had four kills and eight digs, Shadestiny Chism three digs, Skye Cotton three kill and three digs, Lauren Couch two kills, Skyler Day two digs, Dayton McElyea two kills, three assists and five digs, Miah Thomas two blocks and three digs and Ashton Vallery five assists and four digs.
Abercrombie had two two kills and four digs, Thomas two kills, Vallery four assists, Cotton, Couch and Day two digs apiece and McElyea five digs in the loss to Wylie East.
McElyea handed out 10 assists and added six digs and three kills against Sulphur Springs. Vallery finished with eight assists and four digs, Thomas three kills and three digs, Ariana McIntyre five kills and four digs, Day and Couch three digs apiece, Alexis T. Anderson four kills and Abercrombie two kills and six digs.
White Oak goes 2-1
PALESTINE — The White Oak Ladynecks defeated Trinity (25-13, 25-17) and Rusk (25-18, 17-25, 25-18) and fell to Cayuga (25-15, 25-20) in pool play at the Palestine Tournament.
Natalie Reed had 10 assists and two kills, Alysa Hall four kills, Macy Weeks six digs and Samantha McGrew four aces against Trinity.
Reed had five kills, 16 assists and four digs, Lexi Baker six kills and three digs, Emma Hill three digs and three aces, Hall six aces, three digs and two kills, Weeks 10 digs, Payton Palmer five kills, McGrew seven digs, Daphne Bogenschutz three kills and Ashlyn Eynon five kills against Rusk.
McGrew led the way with eight digs against Cayuga. Eynon added three kills, Palmer two kills, Weeks seven digs, Hall five kills and two digs, Hill and Kylee Wilkinson two digs apiece, Baker four digs and three kills and Reed 11 assists and four kills.
West Rusk perfect in pool play
GARY — The West Rusk Lady Raiders finished perfect in pool play at the Gary Tournament with wins over San Augustine (25-12, 25-9), Garrison (25-8, 25-5) and Carlisle (25-12, 25-5).
Chloee Tidwell had 12 digs and Kaylee Driver 15 assists against San Augustine. Kayla Lewis had seven digs against Garrision, and Tidwell finished with nine digs and Driver 12 assists against Carlisle.
Union Grove goes 2-1
GARY — The Union Grove Lady Lions bounced back from a 25-21, 25-17 loss to North Zulch to knock off Carlisle (26-24, 25-15) and Shelbyville (25-2, 25-17) in pool play at the Gary Tournament.
Madelynn Lacaze had nine assists and five aces against Shelbyville. Kasi Jones chipped in with two assists, five aces and seven kills, Caylee Pritchett a dig and a kill, Avery Brooks three digs and five aces, Brooke Rogers a dig and an ace, Shayla Gallagher two assists, Carleigh Judd four digs and Maci Williams and Jace Nutt one kills apiece.
Against Carlisle, Lacaze had nine assists, Sydney Chamberlain five digs, Jones two digs, four assists, four aces and five kills, Pritchett three kills, Brooks six digs and two aces, Rogers five kills, Gallagher three blocks and Judd four digs and two kills.
Pritchett finished with five digs, Rogers three kills, Jones three assists, three aces and two kills, Chamberlain five digs and Lacaze five assists against North Zulch.
