Tyler Lee 3, Whitehouse 2

WHITEHOUSE — The Robert E. Lee Lady Raiders rallied to capture a 3-2 win over the Whitehouse LadyCats on Thursday at C.L. Nix Wildcat Arena.

Lee won 18-25, 25-20, 21-25, 25-22 and 15-13.

Standouts for the Lady Raiders were Hope Casel (7 aces, 22 kills, 1 block, 22 digs), Je'Myiia Johnson (11 kills, 1 ace, 6 blocks, 3 digs), Anasha Martin (29 digs), Claire Trosclair (5 kills, 1 block, 20 digs), Semira Udosen (8 kills, 6 digs), Ja'Mia Hutton (2 digs), I'Onna Jones (6 kills, 3 digs), 2 blocks), Anna Stone (4 aces, 9 digs), Catherine Wise (2 aces, 1 dig) and Karrington Wise (5 kills, 2 digs).

Some of the Whitehouse standouts were Briana Brown (34 kills, 27 digs), Kate Idrogo (3 blocks, 21 digs) and Hannah Owens (19 digs).

Lee won the JV match 2-1 (20-25, 25-18, 25-19). Whitehouse Frosh A won 2-0 (25-20, 25-8), while Lee Frosh B won 2-1 (27-25, 24-26, 26-24).

Lee is scheduled to host Hallsville at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Whitehouse (6-4) is slated to host Quitman at 5 p.m. Tuesday. The JV/freshmen teams are playing in the Hallsville Tournament this weekend.

Hawkins wins pool

NEW LONDON — The Hawkins Lady Hawks won their pool on Thursday in the West Rusk Volleyball Tournament.

Hawkins won Gary (19-25, 25-12, 25-21), Trinity (25-9, 25-16) and Leverett's Chapel (25-13, 25-20).

The Lady Hawks will resume play in the Gold Bracket on Saturday at West Rusk High School. Their first game is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
