The Tyler Lee Lady Raiders went 2-1 during the opening day of the Tyler ISD Volleyball Invitational on Thursday.

Lee opened the day with a win over Van (25-20, 24-26, 25-18).

Hope Casel had six aces, eight kills, two blocks and 11 digs.

Claire Trosclair had six kills, two blocks and 17 digs. Anna Stone had three aces. Anasha Martin had 18 digs. Je’Myiaa Johnson and I’Onna Jones had five kills each. Johnson had five blocks, Jones had four blocks and Semira Udosen added three blocks.

Lee then defeated Quitman (25-19, 25-22).

Casel had 14 digs and 10 kills. Stone had five aces. Jones had four kills, and Trosclair, Johnson and Taliyah Mumphrey all added three kills. Martin and Trosclair had 11 digs each.

In the final match of the day, the Lady Raiders fell to Willis (26-24, 25-20).

Casel had 10 digs and six kills. Martin had 14 digs. Trosclair had seven kills and nine digs.
