TROUP (KYTX) - Troup ISD board members held a special meeting tonight behind close doors to discuss Troup High School's football coach, Dennis Alexander.
Alexander was suspended indefinitely nearly two weeks ago for allegedly slapping one of his players, which he told CBS19 on camera he did not.

Superintendent Stuart Bird said that the meeting had been called to discuss the alleged incident and any evidence. He also said they might not take any action tonight, and it turns out they didn't.
Tonight's closed meeting was called specifically to talk about Dennis Alexander's future with Troup High School. Four board members including the Superintendent were present while two recused themselves.
The executive session lasted for almost 2 hours before it was adjourned. No decision was made, so in the meantime, Coach Alexander remains on suspension and there's no word on when any action might be taken.
