TISD accepting nominations for Athletic Hall of Fame until Aug. 7
The Tyler Independent School District is accepting nominations for the Athletic Hall of Fame. This will be the third induction class.

The athlete must be nominated to be eligible. Athletes must have attended Tyler High School, Emmett J. Scott High School, John Tyler High School or Robert E. Lee High School.
The nomination form is available on the Tyler ISD website, tylerisd.org, and will be accepted until 5 p.m. Friday. A committee will review the applications and select the inductees.
Prospective candidates can be former athletes, coaches, teams or someone who contributed substantially to the athletic program (e.g. faculty, administrator, media, community leader, etc.). Nominees will be selected based on their high school achievements, post high school accomplishments and other contributing factors.
The group of Athletic Hall of Fame members will be recognized at a ceremony on Friday, Sept. 11, during the John Tyler vs. Robert E. Lee football game at Trinity Mother Frances Rose Stadium.
