TERRELL - The Terrell Tigers pulled away in the second half, registering a 38-14 win over the Lindale Eagles on Friday night at Terrell Memorial Stadium.

The Tigers (3-1) scored four touchdowns in the second half, all on running plays.

The run was Terrell's bread and butter, with the Tigers notching 305 yards on 36 carries.

Elijah McQueen was responsible for nearly half of those yards to lead Terrell with 135 for the night. That included a 35-yard touchdown run where he broke two tackles, found room up the middle and rumbled to pay dirt.

McQueen wasn't the only one to light up the scoreboard on a big run. Shortly after McQueen's first touchdown, Markel Savala tore up the field for a 66-yard score.

Lindale scored twice in the second half including a Cameron Sir Louis 8-yard touchdown reception from Montana Meador in the fourth quarter.

Earlier, Meador scored on a 5-yard dash. Mitchell Winters booted both PATs.

Meador hit on 11 of 22 passing attempts for 68 yards. He added 69 yards on 18 carries on the ground.

Cameron Jenkins led the Eagles in rushing with 78 yards on 15 carries. Sir Louis had three receptions for 24 yards, while Brandon Price added two catches for 20 yards. Joe Noble had four receptions for 8 yards.

Terrell also inducted two players into their High School Hall of Fame. Family members of Tennessee Titans cornerback Brice McCain and Frisco High School offensive coordinator Blake Yancey were in attendance.

Lindale (1-3) concludes its non-district slate when the Eagles meet Gladewater at Eagle Saturday next Friday. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.

The Eagles open District 17-5A play on Oct. 7 when they host Nacogdoches.

Terrell opens District 8-4A Division I play next Friday, playing at Kaufman.
