BULLARD — Gabe Lucio rushed for 233 yards and two touchdowns as the Bullard Brook Hill Guard defeated Trinity Christian-Cedar Hill 47-27 in TAPPS D-II District 2 play Friday at Herrington Stadium.

Brook Hill (4-2, 3-0) remained tied for the district lead with Dallas Christian, a 49-0 winner Friday.

Brook Hill took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter on a 4-yard run by Grant Hanks, who finished the night with 53 yards on nine carries with two TDs.

After TC-CH made it 7-6, the Guard put up three scores in the second quarter on a 4-yard run by Hanks and carries of 3 and 49 yards by Lucio to lead 26-20 at half. Lucio rushed for 233 yards on 30 carries.

Brook Hill put up 14 unanswered points in the third to open up the game. The first came on a 35-yard Hanks-to-Seth Brasher pass. Hanks finished the game 14 of 21 for 134 yards and one interception.

"We just want to take it week by week," said Brasher, who finished with 78 yards. "The defense played well and it was great to win on homecoming."

Ty Brown also scored on a 1-yard run for a 40-20 lead.

Brook Hill added an insurance score in the fourth when Alex Hale returned an interception 81 yards for a score, one of Hale's two interceptions on the night. Jacob Dumesnil also had two interceptions for the Guard.

Dallas Parish Episcopal 51, Bishop Gorman 25

DALLAS — Bishop T.K. Gorman's Tristan Saint threw for 315 yards, but it wasn't enough as the Crusaders fell to Dallas Parish Episcopal 51-25 in a TAPPS D-II District 2 game Friday.

Saint was 19 of 31 with four touchdowns for Gorman, which fell to 3-3 and 1-2.

Two of Saint's TD passes came in the second quarter after the Crusaders were already down 14-0. The first was a 93-yard pass and run to Collin Parks. Martin Guzman's PAT made the score 14-7.

After Parish Episcopal score twice in the quarter to go ahead 27-7, Saint connected with Connor Hobbs on an 11-yard passing score. A blocked PAT made it 27-13 at half.

Parish Episcopal (3-3, 2-1) added a touchdown and a 44-yard field goal in the third for a 37-13 lead.

Another fourth-quarter score upped the lead to 44-13 before Gorman found the end zone again on a 5-yard pass from Saint to Parks. A two-point conversion failed, making the score 44-19.

After Parish Episcopal scored its final TD, Saint and Parks connected a final time on a 12-yard pass.

Parks finished the game with 141 receiving yards on eight passes. Hobbs had 107 yards on eight passes.

Parish Episcopal offset Gorman's aerial attack by rushing for 360 yards.
