WILLS POINT — Mabank broke out to a three-touchdown lead and then held off a Wills Point comeback as the Panthers scored a 27-24 victory on Friday.

Quarterback Austin Craig led Mabank by throwing for 250 yards and two touchdowns. He hit on 11 of 16 pass attempts. He also rushed for 37 yards and scored two TDs on six totes.

Korey Givens led the Mabank ground attack with 82 yards on 16 carries. 

On defense, Ezeguiel Gonzales had 12 tackles to lead Mabank.

Dalton King paced the Tigers with 164 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries. Clay Deen and Trey Smith each scored a TD for WP. Evan Golden had 63 yards on nine carries.

Mabank travels to Quinlan on Friday to meet Ford. Kickoff is 7:30 p.m.

Wills Point plays host to Gladewater. Kickoff is 7:30 p.m.
