Marshall (1-3) beat Nacogdoches 72-58 on Tuesday, the first district win for last year’s runner-up.
The girls end the first round of district play tonight, with the third-place Lady Lions (15-8, 4-2) visiting the last-place Marshall Lady Mavericks.
JT eased to a 56-25 win over Whitehouse on Tuesday while Marshall (0-6) fell to Nacogdoches 55-34.
Pine Tree (6-0) paces the district, with Nacogdoches (5-1) one game back.
