LINDALE — The Lindale Eagles scored a 2-0 win over Whitehouse on Friday in a District 31-4A soccer match at Eagle Stadium.
Davis Behee scored the first goal in the first half on a 25-yard shot in the upper 90 percent of the goal.
Riley Alvey dropped a ball just outside the box and Behee ripped the shot passed the diving Wildcat keeper.
After a long lightning delay, the Eagles led 1-0 at half. The Wildcats came out hot after half keeping the ball on the Eagles’ end but no scoring resulted. The Eagles defense stood strong the whole game not giving Whitehouse many opportunities.
With 10 minutes left, the Eagles put the icing on the cake after Alvey scored on a nice pass from Jesse Emberley.
In the junior varsity game, the Eagles defeated the Wildcats 2-0. Scoring goals for Lindale were Timmy Moyer and Jordan Guthrie. The JV has now won four games in a row all with shut-outs.
