Philip Taylor scored three different ways to lead King's Academy to a 53-6 win over Corsicana Agape Christian Academy on Saturday at Mewbourne Field.

Taylor returned the opening kickoff for a score, caught a touchdown pass and ran back a punt as the Royal Knights (3-1, 1-0) won their TCAL Div. II-District 5 opener.

The game was called in the third quarter due to the 45-point rule.

Taylor also had an interception while Taylor Hartman and Brock Kenyon each recovered fumbles for King's Academy.

The Royal Knights offense received three touchdowns from Caleb Tibbets, who had 99 total yards. Tibbets scored twice on runs and once on a catch.

Jonathan Baggs threw for 93 yards for King's Academy, which will head to Dallas to face Balch Springs Christian Academy next Saturday
