John Tyler seniors Frank Turner and Sean O’Neal were honored Friday at the Lions Den.

Lions Coach Cedeno Clark honored his two seniors on the basketball team.

It was the final regular season home game for the Lions as Jacksonville was the visitor for the District 16-5A contest.

Jacksonville’s Vito High hit two free throws with 32 seconds on the clock to give the Indians the lead and they held on for a 76-72 win over John Tyler on Friday in a District 16-5A baketball game at the Lions Den on the JT campus.

Jacksonville registered it first league win to go to 1-12, while JT fell to 8-19 overall and 5-8 in district.

JT visits Whitehouse on Tuesday.
