LUFKIN - A great season for the Brownsboro turned into a disappointing playoff exit on Saturday.
Jasper quarterback Tiger Williams sparked the Bulldogs to a 57-14 win over the Bears in a Class 4A Division I bi-district game on John Outlaw Memorial Field at Abe Martin Stadium.
Jasper (7-4) advances to the area round to meet No. 1 Navasota (11-0) next week.
Brownsboro ends its season at 5-6. The Bears made the playoffs for the first time since 2010.
Bears QB Tamrick Pace threw for 225 yards and two touchdowns. Pace hit on 15 of 27 pass attempts.
He connected with Jamal Bell on TD tosses of 20 and 25 yards. Pace also threw a two-point conversion pass to Kevon Thompson.
Bell had eight catches for 122 yards.
Pace's 41-yard completion to Xavier Richardson set up the first TD to Bell.
Williams rushed for 237 yards on 23 carries and scored on TD runs of 3, 5 and 47 yards. He connected on 7 of 13 pass attempts for 85 yards and a TD.
Williams tossed a 6-yard scoring pass to Cody Mitchell, who has committed to Louisiana-Lafayette.
DeCorrian Holmes, who gained 152 yards on 22 carries, scored on runs of 6, 9 and 8 yards.
Jasper's other TD was a 66 fumble return by Devonta Armstrong.
Playing well offensively for the Bears were Pace, Bell and Xavier Richardson. On defense, Kenneth Woods and Caleb Seale were in on several plays.
The Bears had three turnovers, two interceptions and a fumble.
