Martin's Mill girls basketball

The Martin’s Mill Lady Mustangs are definitely on a roll.

A visit to Las Vegas might be good as the Lady Mustangs are on a 15-year hot streak.

The Lady Mustangs scored a 95-14 win over Cumby on Tuesday in a District 14-2A girls basketball contest, Martin’s Mill’s 150th consecutive league victory. The team’s last district loss was in 2005. The game was held in Cumby.

Also, the No. 1-ranked Lady Mustangs have won 112 straight games. That is second all-time in Texas behind Duncanville’s 134 consecutive wins.

Martin’s Mill is 34-0 on the season and 10-0 in district.

The Lady Mustangs, led by Abbie Orrick’s 25 points, jumped out to a 40-7 first-quarter lead.

Others scoring for MM were Jada Celsur (21), Riley Jackson (12), Kylee Lookabaugh (9), Kalie Dunavant (8), Mia Mixon (8), Kenzie Cross (6) and Jessie Camacho (6).

The bi-district basketball playoffs are scheduled for Feb. 17-18.
