BROWNSBORO 52, MABANK 15

BROWNSBORO — The Brownsboro Bearettes scored a 52-15 win over Mabank on Tuesday to clinch the District 14-4A girls basketball championship.

Brownsboro goes to 29-6 overall and 9-1 in league play.

Kentoya Woods led the Bearettes with 15 points, followed by Mekhayia Moore (12), Allie Cooper (4), Alexis Rumbo (3), Alexa Soong (2), Paris Miller (2) and Tori Hooker (2). 

SABINE 53, WHITE OAK 46

LIBERTY CITY — Sabine handed White Oak its first District 16-3A loss on Tuesday, 53-46.

Sabine (21-9, 12-2) is the league runner-up and will play Elysian Fields in bi-district on Tuesday at Longview High School's Lobo Coliseum. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.

The Lady Necks (21-11, 13-1) earn the district title and will play Hughes Springs in bi-district.

Mikinzi Cantrell led the Lady Cardinals with 18 points with Blaire Kaufman adding 16. Other scoring for Sabine were Mallory Furrh (6), Hailey Davis (5), Maddie Furrh (4), Aubree McCann (2) and Mercedes Willett (2).

UNION GROVE 67, CARLISLE 26

PRICE — Union Grove clinched the No. 2 seed in District 16-2A girls basketball with a 67-26 win over the Carlisle Lady Indians on Tuesday.

The Lady Lions improve to 22-7 overall and 10-2 in district. UG will play host to Longview Christian Heritage at 4:30 p.m. Friday in a warmup game.

Carleigh Judd led the Lady Lions with 17 points with Macey Alston adding 15 points. Madelynn Lacaze and Makena Littlejohn pitched in 14 points apiece. Others scoring UG were Camille Hanson (2) and Macey Roberts (2).
