ELKHART — Cole Bridges and Jeffrey Wilson hooked up for a 61-yard touchdown through the air to give Elkhart the early lead in the first quarter and help the Elks rout Normangee, 52-22, on Friday.

The Elks continued to pile the yards and points on Normangee en route to the 30-point win, which improved the home team to 2-0 on the season.

Bridges also threw a 56-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter to Jacob Cheatham, who also finished the night with a 75-yard kickoff return for a score.

Elkhart led 32-14 at halftime and pulled away even more in the third quarter, scoring 20 points.

Wilson and Tevin White had rushing touchdowns.

Normangee scored on kickoff returns of 95 and 85 yards.
