Bullard Brook Hill freshman Taylor Schultz was selected as a first teamer on the TAPPS 3A all-state softball team after a standout rookie year with the Lady Guard.

Schultz, who helped Brook Hill win a district title, was joined by a handful of teammates as well as five more Tylerites honored at the state level.

All Saints junior shortstop Madison Goforth and junior pitcher Maddie Smith were named to the TAPPS 4A second team.

Also in 4A, the Bishop Gorman battery of sophomore pitcher Katelin Jacobi and senior catcher Rachel Carney earned honorable mention.

Grace Community junior shortstop Kylee Stanley was also honorable mention.

Morgan Brooks, a sophomore catcher for Brook Hill, was tabbed for the 3A second team.

Alyssa Eden, a senior first baseman, and junior shortstop Morgan Fore were honorable mention for the Lady Guard.
