ATHENS — The Brownsboro Bears stuffed Jawuan Martin on a two-point conversion try to upset the Athens Hornets, 32-30, in overtime at Bruce Field on Friday night.
Martin, who ran 41 times for 231 yards, scored on a 15-yard run but got met by a handful of Bears to end the game.
Brownsboro scored the game-winning touchdown on a 20-yard touchdown run by K.T. Thompson. Quarterback Shelby Rogers then hit a wide-open Kris Bryant to give Brownsboro the lead in the extra frame. Rogers threw for 331 yards and three touchdowns.
