TATUM — Chaston Brooks tossed three second-half touchdown passes and the Tatum Eagles pulled away from the Center Roughriders en route to a 46-6 win on Friday.
Brooks scored on a 1-yard run late in the first quarter to put Tatum on the board, but Center countered three minutes later with a 1-yard run by Kyle Parks. Jesus Sandoval booted the PAT for Tatum, but Devin Boyd blocked the Center extra point.
Stephen Marshall extended Tatum’s lead with a 20-yard interception return for a score, and then Tavian Ray scored twice for the Eagles on runs of 16 and four yards.
Brooks then went to work, tossing a 25-yard touchdown pass to Martin Williams in the third and then hooking up with Deyanta Roberson on scoring strikes of nine and 24 yards in the fourth quarter.
Tatum (3-4, 1-1) will visit Spring Hill on Friday. Center drops to 2-4 and 0-2 with the loss.
