BULLARD — The Brook Hill Guard won their own Seventh Annual Tommy Young Basketball Classic with a 3-0 record.

The Guard (4-0) scored wins over Rusk (44-42), Lufkin Pineywoods Academy (60-48) and Big Sandy (41-32).

Against Big Sandy on Saturday, Chandler Fletcher led the way with 20 points. He was followed by Joseph Johnson (8), TyJuan Canno (4), Grayson Murry (4), Preston Hardee (3) and William Roberts (2).

Joshua Shipman and Dakarai Menefee each hit for 12 points to lead the Wildcats. Brian Pullum added eight.

Big Sandy is scheduled to play at Quitman at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

On Friday, Johnson scored 20 points to pace the Guard in the win over Pineywoods. Murry added 13 points and he was followed by Noah Langemeier (9), TyJuan Cannon (7), Fletcher (7), Hardee (2) and TyShaun Cannon (2).

Brook Hill is scheduled to take part in the Abilene Wylie Tournament Dec. 12-14.
