JACKSONVILLE — Andrew Black rushed for four touchdowns to lead the Jacksonville Indians to a 28-21 District 14-4A homecoming win Friday over the Pine Tree Pirates.
Black scored on runs of 36 and 24 yards in a span of 13 seconds in the first quarter to give the Indians, 3-4 and 3-1, a 14-0 first-quarter lead.
Jake Oden got the Pirates, 0-7 and 0-4, back in the game with 11:55 left in the second on a 2-yard to make the score 14-7. That score held up through the half.
Jacksonville took a 21-7 lead in the third on a 10-yard Black touchdown, but the Pirates roared back with a pair of scores of its own on a 56-yard run by Matt Cox and a 1-yard scoring carry by Oden to make it 21-21.
Black broke the tie with 5:47 remaining in the fourth on a 1-yard touchdown.
