GLADEWATER — Darion Gregory rushed for 144 yards and a pair of touchdowns Friday night to lead the Gladewater Bears picked to their first District 16-3A win, topping the Spring Hill Panthers 26-7 at Jack V. Murphy Stadium.
Javone Thomas did his part as well on both sides of the ball for the Bears, who improved to 5-2 on the season and 1-1 in district play. He had two catches for 57 yards and a touchdown. The senior also returned an interception 55 yards for a touchdown.
For Spring Hill, Ben Hollas rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown. Hollas also had an interception that he returned 57 yards. Landry Lee threw for 99 yards for the Panthers (1-6, 0-2). Jake Ferrill had an interception as well.
